I’m looking for two couples planning destination weddings to participate in a special etp project!

Maybe you’re planning a cruise, a Disney Fairy Tale Wedding, even heading to another State or Country for the I Dos. I need two couples who would be willing to participate in a few pre- and post-wedding sessions to be testers for a new package to be offered in 2010. This will not affect your wedding at all, I will not be photographing your wedding (unless you wanted me to!) this is simply for pre- and post-wedding sessions. If this sounds like you or if you would be interested, shoot me an email, give me a call or leave me a comment!

Because too many families are separated by deployments Erin Taylor Photography is offering  special sessions for the loved ones of deployed soldiers. Book a Deployment Darlings Session from now until Memorial Day and give your sweetheart something to look forward to while they are deployed—-the gift of you.

If you are the girlfriend, fiancée or wife of a deployed soldier (or maybe guys you have a girl over there fighting for our country), shoot me an email, give me a call or post a comment to book your personal one-hour on-location Deployment Darling Session.  From now until Memorial Day book a Deployment Darlings session and make your soldier’s day with some new portraits of you to hold him off until you can be together again.

All sessions will be held on-location in an area local to you.  Most sessions will be done at Hodges Gardens in Florien as that location is very close to Fort Polk and convenient to those most likely to want to participate in this event.

Tonight I had the privilege of being asked to backup good friend of mine at wedding she had booked in Ville Platte.  The warm Friday night ceremony was gorgeous, the bride was stunning in her beautiful lace wedding gown and with her in a neat knot and complete with net veil she looked timeless.  I really had a great time as I shot backup from the rear of the perfectly lit Catholic Church but truthfully the highlight of the night for me was when I headed over to the reception to get detail shots and guest candids until my friend completed her formal portrait work at the church.  The couple had hired a live band to perform at their reception held in Washington at Wolff Hall which was in full swing and entertaining the room when I arrived.    Then I saw it:  the groom’s cake.  Anyone who has ever had an opportunity to talk with me about weddings knows my two favorite things when it comes to weddings are that my favorite part of the ceremony is the look on the groom’s face when he sees his bride and my favorite part of the reception is the most awesome, unique detail, decoration or cake in the room.  Tonight the winning detail for me was the groom’s cake!  The groom is obviously a hunter and not only did his area of the room reflect his love hunting but his cake—all I can say is WOW.  You be the judge.  Is this not the most awesome cake ever?!

It’s the second week of February and it was 72 degrees today and sunny but not too much! So you know what that means—the perfect day for shooting! I had the privilege of doing a session with with a cute little -not-quite-two year old little boy named Zachary.  Zachary has the biggest brown eyes which showed every thought and emotion going through his head.  He started out a little shy but by the end of the hour he was looking for the camera to give me that sweet little easy smile.  Enjoy a few images from his session!

BUMPS & BABIES – JESSIE Posted by Erin

I had so much fun shooting Jessie’s maternity portraits today! I love when my clients are easygoing and really natural during their sessions but the thing I love the most is when they surprise me!  I arrived for Jessie’s portraits expecting to meet a cute, bubbly blonde mommy-to-be but instead was met with a red-headed hot mama! I really enjoyed talking with her, from the story of how she met her husband she hired him to teach her to play the guitar to their indecision over whether to name their new baby boy Aaron or Ashton, but the most enjoyable part of the whole session was of course how easy and beautiful she was to photograph.  I hope you agree!

For the past couple of years I have been mailing out print ads, rather than just keeping it strictly email.  Because everyone likes getting a pretty picture in the mail instead of a bill it has really been a hit and everyone always talks about how much they look forward to the next card!  And imagine the surprise of some when they see that they are the star of the current ad!   That’s what my photography style is all about.  Making my clients feel happy, special and excited to see what I do next!  Whether it’s an advertisement for my latest bridal beauty look, new engagement session offerings, a showcase of the latest awesome wedding I photographed or announcement of my upcoming projects!

Which brings me to my latest announcement!  Not only will my clients be on the lookout to see what the next ad card brings but now they will be excited to see the subject of my latest postage stamp!  Yes, that’s right!  For a couple years I have been promoting the fabulousness of Photo Stamps and suggesting that everyone try them out, especially when sending out your save the dates, engagement and shower invitations and most importantly when mailing out those ever important wedding invites!  I know, Photo Stamps are little more expensive than just going down to the post office but really, when putting postage on those RSVP postcards would you rather save a dollar or two have pineapples and other assorted fruits on your 27 cent stamps (sorry USPS, but those are *gasp* yucky!) or something personal as seen here:

Love Stamp

Those on my mailing list will have the pleasure of receiving their annual February ad with this personal Erin Taylor Photography Love Stamp.  Enjoy and be on the look out for my next Photo Stamp creation!

It’s a new year and already off to an amazing start! I am booked solid for the next SIX weeks but one of my resolutions for the coming year is to make time to post more, more often!
